I am IN LOVE with La La Land! Last month, I had lunch with a past piano student and her mom at Urth Caffe Pasadena, and they were telling me how unique and enchanting the movie-musical is. I wasn't a fan of Ryan Gosling, nor have I seen much of Emma Stone's movies, and I have always been skeptical of actors belting out a good tune. Therefore, I wasn't too ecstatic to check out the movie. However, I was curious about it, because that particular student whom I had lunch with is an inspiration to me.

Last weekend, my husband and I decided to relax at home and watch a few movies. We included La La Land just so I could get it out of my head, and I have to say I was blown away. The beginning does fool people a bit. It starts out typical, cheesy, and almost without imagination; but as the plot thickens, I can't help but fall in love with everything. The characters, story, dreams, reality, singing, music, romance, and the bittersweet feeling of sacrifice are to die for!

Whenever I listen to these songs, I can't help but fall in love with the story all over again.
