EVENTS

A music study and evaluation program sponsored by the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC), Certificate of Merit (CM) provides a standardized music curriculum for musical excellence. The CM program provides piano and theory exams for each level on an annual basis.

Syllabus includes Performance, Technique, Sight Reading, Music Theory, and Ear Training.

SCJBF

Southern California Junior Bach Festival (SCJBF) is a three-round competitive event showcasing the love for J.S. Bach's music.

Winners of the Branch Bach Festival can move on to the Regional Festival. Winners of the Regional Winner can move on to the Complete Works Audition.

Studio Recitals

Ms. Nancy's annual studio recitals showcase each student's progress and are opportunities to overcome fears of public performance.

Community Service Recitals offer students extra performance opportunities and community service hours.

Judged events designed as competitions to motivate students to strive for a higher level of preparation and musical polish by rewarding students for their hard work.

Summer Festivals

Satori Summer Music Festival is a highly competitive summer festival held at the Azusa Pacific University's School of Music.

Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF) is another highly competitive summer festival held at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State University Long Beach (CSULB).
